OMG, today was perfect. X.DDDDD

Well, let me start from the beginning.

Arrived in Akihabara later than planned because Motoshi and I accidentally took the wrong train. Hiroko chan went on her own since she had some other business to take care of that took longer than expected. Namie chan (recent friend I made on mixi who's into Hatano) was waiting for us at the Anime Center already.

We all met up and then had lunch at a curry place. I took that time to write my theme thingy for the after talk. After that, me, Hiroko chan and Namie chan went around to the different anime shops in Akihabara. Today is the day I did all my shopping. Got Pale Green's album, the Natsume Yuujinchou fanbook (Nyanko Sensei Yuujinchou), a Chiral no Mori box (yes, just for Youji and Tetsuo), 3 boxes of Lamento one coin figures (no Asato .T___T but I did get Konoe), and I fiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally found the 2007/12 issue of B's LOG with Hatano's Voice of Prince interview! =.DDD It was at Messe Sanoh where I bought the one coin figures. I got the Chiral no Mori box over there because the shop tokuten was sweet pool pins. X.3

After spending much money, we met up with Motoshi and headed back to the Anime Center. Oh, even though we arrived late, we got numbers 2-5. X.D #3 is my lowest yet! This time I was lucky and our numbers were called third so we sat 4th row. It's so CLOSE!! X.DDDDDDD

My mail didn't get read on the show unfortunately. For the after talk, Hatano fanboi'd over Doraemon. X.D He had bought one of the DVDs recently (see his blog) and even had it with him so he ran outside the booth to grab it so he could show everyone. X.D So cute! Talked a lot about how he was crying while watching it the day before. (Narita san had apparently asked him earlier if he was sleepy but actually his eyelids were just heavy from all the crying the night before. X.D)

Then they read Namie chan's theme thing. OMG, it was hilarious! She had asked them how they do kiss noises and requested that they do it in front of everyone. X.DDDDD Hatano was soooooooooooooo embarrassed!!! They made him kiss the Evangelion bread cans that they had introduced during the AniCen information corner of the show. He requested Asuka. X.DDD (Originally they were gonna make him kiss Doraemon. X.D) Like, he was going do it and then just started laughing because he was embarrassed. X.DDD It took him like 3 or 4 tries before he could go through with it. So cuuuute!

Basically the way Hatano makes kiss noises is he uses the middle joint of his index finger. Holy shit man, it was HAWT. So this is how he makes noises in bl dramas.... X.DDD No seriously, the sound he made was SEXY. Guhhhhhhh~~~ Namie chan, GJ!!!!!!!! Afterwards, Hatano was soooooo embarrassed and said, "Shinitai (I wanna die)." X.DDDD

And then after, they read my theme! X.DDDD YAY~!!! Thank you, Mirakki san! I wrote saying that I came to Japan in fall (though girigiri) just as they had recommended and that it suddenly got cold recently but it's actually not that different from California. Japanese people seem to have a warm image of California so I asked what Hatano and Narita's image of California is. This time Hatano read my letter! X.DDD It's always been Narita in the past. Made me happy. Was also happy that he was able to read my terrible handwriting. X.D They mentioned the ocean and were all asking me if the oceans were pretty in a way where they were expecting me to say yes and I didn't have the heart to tell them that our oceans are friggin' dirty so I just nodded. .^^;;;; Apparently Hatano Papa wants to go to California. Hatano also mentioned wanting to go. DUDE, come to Fanime! X.D

Also got to see Hatano do his whistle that sounds like bird chirps. He also did a whistle using his thumb and middle finger. He had to back far away from the mic cuz it was gonna be loud and even so it was pretty loud.

Last letter was asking when the photo for the calendar included in Voice Animage was taken. It was taken on the same day as the Kannou Mukashibanashi recording. A girl behind me to the left had the magazine and she held it up. Then Murakki san and Narita made Hatano do some of the poses. X.DDD It was hilarious. For the main photo of the Kannou Mukashibanashi interview, they had him like flip his jacket (kinda like Tendou sensei's jacket play) and it took like 20 shots for them to get one that looked perfect. It was actually pretty cool to see Hatano do it. Then Narita san made his redo the pose he did for the calendar photo. X.D I'm so glad I was able to see this all up so close. X.3

Anyway, YAY for getting letter read and getting to talk to Hatano and Narita again. .^___^ We were taking pictures in front of the Anime Center when Mirakki san came out so I thanked him and sad otsukaresama deshita, and he thanked me for my message. (I sent him a message on mixi before leaving in the morning.) He really is a nice guy. .^___^ He's funny too. He was wearing Narita's hat and it looked like he had a really bad hair cut. X.D


So, tomorrow. Casey got me an interview with ArcSys at 5. I guess in the morning I'll head over to Yokohama Station and go to Animate and I've also got a couple things to ship out. Ya. I think Animate's having Gold Card koukan again and I'm like 6000 or so yen away from a second keihin point so I'm gonna see if I can get it.

SAIAKU!!

I have like... no voice!!! Last night my throat suddenly started clogging up with crap so even though my throat doesn't actually hurt much, I can't really speak. Like, I can but not loudly and my voice has that sick person tone to it. .x__x

This sucks! It's AniCen kouroku day!! .T___T Gonna buy some nodoame at the conbini later.

What a busy day! Lots of Fanime business to take care of.

GAINAX is.... wow... Well, it's exactly what it looks like in the tokuten video of Inoue Marina visiting the studio. Chatted with Yamaga san and Saitou san. Ahh~ Saitou san is one of the nicest people in the world. Btw, don't expect Gurren Lagann on blu-ray any time soon. It's most likely not going to happen, I think they said more because of Sony though.

After GAINAX we (me 'n Casey) met up with Suzuki san and he took us out to dinner at this pasta place. Was yummy. Talked about stuff and ya. Suzuki san's a really great guy.

In between the morning and GAINAX, Casey and I went to Ikebukuro where we hit up a few anime stores and then had lunch at El Torito. I got a keychain of Michel at the game center. X.3333 Also bought the DGS techou (memo pad) at K-Books cuz it was only 210 yen. Not that I'd use it or anything but too cheap to pass up. X.D I really haven't bought much this trip. Then again I'm hauling home a PG 00-Raiser (which is HUUUUUUUUUUGE btw) so maybe that's for the best. X.DDD

PS So I was talking with Casey and he's gonna try to get me an internship at Arc System Works as a translator. Basically a lot of the translation work has been pushed onto him lately even though he has other projects to work on so yeah. He's gonna talk to the higher ups tomorrow (technically today) and then I'm gonna stop by there on Wednesday.

But in a word, KiraFes was AWESOME.

Yes, I was able to get in, but I had to buy toujitsuken. It's an extra 8925 yen but it was worth it. The toujitsuken were shuzai seats (seats for reporters), meaning they were FRIGGIN' CLOSE to the stage. Me 'n skutergirl were THIRD ROW!! Unfortunately all the way on the right side, but much closer than our 2nd floor 17 row. (Though at least it would have been center.)

The seating chart for NHK Hall makes the seats seem farther from the stage than they actually are.

PS DVD will be released 2/24. Two announcements were made -- CONNECT single on 2/24 and Namikawa will be releasing a solo CD through Kiramune.

So, bought Voice Animage Winter and Pick-Up Voice yesterday. Also got kamiya's Starry*Sky Scorpio CD but forgot to mention it.

Bought the magazines for Hatano. God, he is so CUUUUUUUTE!!!!!! When he's smiling naturally he looks really cute. He looks cool in the posed photos but I can't help but laugh at him. X.DDD

Oh, and Kamiya in the Voice Animage calendar? HAWWWWWWWT. The photo must've been from his previous article where he was wearing a yukata. .*_________* I want to put the calendar up but ugh, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to tear the old month pages off. .^^;;

Anyway, watched the Macross Frontier movie and Higashi no Eden movie today.

Macross Frontier... HOLY CRAP it was so good!!!! I was actually expecting similar to the Gurren Lagann movies where it's pretty much series animation with a few new scenes but nope, they pretty much reanimated the whole thing, though the story was basically the same they changed a lot, and just, WOW. The CG was amazing, especially the battle scenes. Casey and I agreed that Sheryl's boobs have gotten larger though. X.DDD The new songs are really cool. ( spoiler )

Higashi no Eden was good. The setting was in New York. They had real American actors do the voices! And it was hilarious when one the lines was like, "What the fuck is all this!?" or something. X.DDD xaevyn and I weren't sitting together but I'm sure she was laughing too. X.D After the movie they had the butai aisatsu with Kimura, the chick who voices Saki, and Yusa. Not too much to say. They were only up there for maybe 10-20 minutes. Yusa looked good though. And wow, he's pretty tall.

After that, we all had dinner at a curry place and then Hiroko chan had to hurry back to go pick up her dog so we left in a rush. I went to the post office to get some cash and then went to Animate where I bought Sylph vol.10, Voice Animage, Pick-Up Voice, Gakuen Heaven vol.4, Kichiku Megane vol.3, a Youji (sweet pool) fastener, and a netsuke of Itoshiki Sensei which is like, sold out at all Animates I've been to. Couldn't let this chance get away so I bought it even though I probably won't use it. X.D


Man, it's kinda hot here in Japan. I was prepared for cold!

Hiroko chan has a dog and it is one genki pup. Right now she's staring at me. X.D Very cute but omg, needs to calm down. X.D

So, flight yesterday was quite uneventful. A Chinese ossan sat next to me. =.( Slept maybe half the trip. Watched Transformers 2. (Bumblebee is cute. X.3) They also had Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince but I was too tired at the time to watch it.

Still coughing when my throat gets itchy but I think I should be OK for tomorrow. What I'm worried about is the KiraFes tickets not arriving here yet. .>____> Motoshi said he sent them a couple (I guess 3 now) days ago. If it doesn't come today um, yeah, deep shit.
